*Used to evaluate the nature of disorder, to evaluate communicate in context, and early literacy and classroom fundamentals.
-Norm-referenced (Australian norms)
–For literacy and classroom: recalling sentences in context, basic concepts, phonological awareness.
-Backward extension of CELF-4 (Overlapping years ; 5 – 6 years)
-Often used for fulfilling school administrative regulations (e.g. funding purposes).
-Comprehensive assessment (subtests, and scored individually).
-Scoring = time-consuming
-Core language subtests = 10-15minutes each.
Administrative time depends on children.
